hitchhikers guide to more empathy #16 – a sad man
we hit the streets, thumbs on the steering wheel, down the road – portraying people we’re giving a ride! welcome to new adventures and undiscovered paths . . .
the story is actually not very sad, but a happy one. we’ve given the man two rides around Nelson B.C. so far, one last year on a rainy December day and the second not too long ago in early spring.
the point is how different we’re living our lifes: being on the fast lane you meet loads of people, hear and share tons of stories, but do you listen? I learned, that I don’t.
his name, where he’s from, his passions, friends, love? I remember nothing. he does, recalling pretty much every detail of the stories we told in December, asking about our plans and past adventures in Germany
