hitchhikers guide to more empathy #14 – don’t fear the creeper
we hit the streets, thumbs up, down the road – portraying people, who give us a ride! welcome to new adventures and undiscovered path . . .
Our last ride, the two ski-party-dudes, dropped us on probably the worst hitchhiking spots I’ve seen so far. Very close to a ‘picking up hitchhikers is illegal’ sign and on the bottom of a steep hill right behind a curve. we were surrounded by the desert on one side and on the other the traffic blasting by waay to fast for anyone to stop safely – so I started scoping out for a nice place to camp for the night, but then Bruce stopped his tiny vehicle in an incredibly brave maneuver. Bruce is one of those types, when you see them first, you have all kinds of hollywood-serial-killer-movie-thoughts going through your head, while you realise, he’s just a friendly guy. It turns out he is a teacher and passionate photographer on his way to an Indian reserve to give a photo class. He tells us about his life and how he got fucked up in Japan over years and that he’s living his life as it happens to him.
Long story short: taaadaaa … what a killer!staff stuff
