hitchhikers drive to more empathy – #1
we hit the streets, thumbs up, down the road – portraying the people, who give us a ride!
welcome to new adventures and undiscovered paths…
[dylan – loan shark]
not kidding. this guy gives other people money and if they don’t pay back, well, they better pay back…
never, never ever try to hitchhike out of Montreal – this city hates hitchhikers. you have to find your way out of town before you come close to a highway, where cars have the chance to pull off and pick you up. since the public transportation systems in canada hate dogs, life can be a bit uncomfortable.
but since we never ever give a shit, we just walked out (five hours) and finally took a cab (!!), that brought us to a truck stop near a ramp.
it’s highly embarrassing to take a taxi, if you’re trying to thumb a lift – we’re aware of that.
anyways, dylan picked us up right away, brought us to his place, gave us snacks, toothbrush and paste and more we could carry.
after that he decided to drive us another hour down the highway, because he still had time to burn before heading to a romantic dinner with his super-pregnant wife (one month to go).
what a drive, what a guy. thanks bro!
