blue winter

February 12, 2015 - whoneedslove -

when was the last time you read a poem, you went to the theatre or a book reading? it’s cold and muddy outside, but if you want to wrap yourself up to dream with a blanket of cosy, kitschy words, that come out of my lovely, little brain, here you go:

another morning I wake . . .

frozen rain covers

the grey paved veins

under a white robe,

while I’m chasing the pain.

a merciful snowflake,

a touch in the dark,

a fellow, a friend

a fire, a spark.

I follow her

to a coloured cloud

her origin,

to think about:

the summer?

the spring?

the sorrow of fall?

a wonderful disaster

after a desperate call.

I haunted myself

the mind a ghost

trapped in a puzzle

from coast to coast.

broken to pieces,

no direction to go,

then came to me

a flake of snow.
