David is a songwriter, who has his roots in the rough and ugly German punk scene of the early 2000s. inspired by masters of music like Joint Venture and Alarmsignal he fillets fish and celebrates a megalomania that overcomes us all – he writes and sings in his mother tongue and strikes us here with twisted lyrics and a troubled voice:

megalomania

Verse I

it feels like a curse sawing my heart

following me, leaving me to strike back even harder,

silencing the senses just for a while,

hearing her (ignoring) voice I wanna stay with her.

Refrain

we’re seeking, but we haven’t found ourselves.

our dream comes true, once we overcome the megalomania,

if we weren’t ready for this challenge

we’d be allowed to keep the pain.

Verse II

I can see you dancing when I close my eyes,

burning my skin when I shed the first tear

I realize then you’re just an illusion,

but why do I keep writing about you

Refrain

we’re seeking, but we haven’t found ourselves.

our dream comes true, once we overcome the megalomania,

if we weren’t ready for this challenge

we’d be allowed to keep the pain.

Verse III

I kiss you good bye, maybe you let me go,

I don’t want to watch you from so far away.

here and then your sound will fill my night,

but I won’t fail any longer over a lie.

Refrain

we’re seeking, but we haven’t found ourselves.

our dream comes true, once we overcome the megalomania,

if we weren’t ready for this challenge

we’d be allowed to keep the pain.
