64 Years After
I had the pleasure of getting together with my Oma and Opa after christmas . . .
by Jason Steltman
I had asked to come over to their place for a few hours to have a tea, a talk, and take some pictures.
Their Anniversary was yesterday, and they had to celebrate it in the hospital as my Oma has suffered from heart attacks after taking care of my Opa who suffered a rough fall.
They got to celebrate it together, which they have been for 64 years.
This number sounds like infinity to me.
You know everything about someone by that age, but the thing that keeps them together is the fact that they both want to hear every word the other has to say. They find solace in the others ability to hold them.
Like the end of a massive bonfire, the last two sticks will stay up until the energy has been spent and they fall into one another.
Happy January 11, 2015
